The NEC is an organization created to increase environmental awareness and activity. It was established in 2006 at the Niagara College Niagara-on-the-Lake campus. Through the work of the volunteers and st aff, progress is being made in ecologically integrating Niagara College into its stunning, natural surroundings.
On September 16, 2009, we will be hosting our third annual "Green Day @ Niagara"; an event designed to increase environmental awareness, recruit volunteers and build relationships with local environmental organizations. The event will take place in the Niagara College Niagara-on-the-Lake Campus courtyard.
Last year's event was very successful, seeing more than 90 new volunteers and new partnerships developed with local industry and organizations in the environmental sector.
